Celebrating A New Gay Shifter Romance From Winona Wilder

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating the release of ALPHA BEAR, the second book in Winona Wilder's  new Northern Shifters Series!

ALPHA BEAR by Winona Wilder

Northern Shifters Book Two

Blake feels lost after his best friend settles down with a mate. They were both initiated into the Marcelle wolf pack as orphans, but now it’s only Blake without a past or future. He has a spark of hope when his alpha mentions a buried box that could contain the answers he seeks.

The only problem...the box is deep in bear territory.

When Gage meets a foreign bear near his bathing pond, he’s immediately attracted to the dark-haired stranger. They engage in a passionate love affair, only to question their relationship when the lust settles. Blake’s different customs continually rouse Gage’s suspicions. Is he a human, bear, or a wolf trespassing on their land?

Can an alpha bear and wolf bridge the gap in their worlds for the sake of love? Will the contents of the buried box bring them closer or tear them apart?

  1. Happy Release Day Winona!!!

For those not familiar with your Northern Shifters Series, can you tell us all about it and about your new book?

I know you've been pretty busy with your Stacey Espino releases, what have you in store for us readers this summer from Stacey and Winona?

Enjoyed the excerpts from ALPHA BEAR and can't wait to read it. I hope it's a huge seller for you!

Hope you enjoy your release day party! Have fun!

  2. Congrats! I love me some hunny bear. I think bears are my new favorite shifters. What is the oddest shifter you've written?

  3. Hi DeNita,

    Thank you for the party!
The Northern Shifters are stand alone novels within the same world. They feature different shifters from the Marcelle wolf pack as well as other shifters. I want all the guts to get their happily ever after!

I've been writing a lot. The next Winona book will be book 3 in this series. It will feature the Marcelle alpha, Redden.

I have a new book in Stacey's Wolves of Climax series coming out approx. once a month. Taming Travis should go on pre-order later today and releases June 4th.
I just sent in book #5 so expect it soon.
Cowboy Outcasts is a special western ménage as it features a hero with Tourette Syndrome. Both my husband and son are afflicted. It will be out in June at Evernight.
The Reluctant Virgin (Ride 'Em Hard, 6) will be out in July at Siren. It features a heroine with a physical disability and I'm excited about the release.
I'll be subbing Uniform Fetish, 2 very soon. This one will feature yummy cops!
    That's all for now.

  4. Donna,

So far I've only done bears, wolves, and fox. There will be more as the series progresses!

  5. Good excerpts - was expecting Gage, the bear shifter, to be the top and not the wolf shifter, Blake. Since bears are solitary animals, meaning non-pack animals, and will this aspect cause a conflict in their relationship in the book?

  6. Hi Jess,

Gage comes from a different world than Blake as bears are isolated and solitary. I think they end up complimenting each other quite nicely.

  9. I love the sound of this book, but I gotta admit that your description of Cowboy Outcasts really catches my eye. Was this book harder to write than your usual?

  12. Ley,

It's a difficult issue to write. Very difficult. I enjoyed the emotional aspect.

    Thanks!
