THE LAST BATTLESHIP by Joe Christiano

In 1944, the battleship USS Louisiana is torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine. There is a single survivor. Four decades later, an expedition embarks to locate and document the wreck. The Louisiana’s sole survivor, Ensign Robert Sayles (retired), along with his daughter, Jill, are honored guests of the expedition.

But things begin to go wrong aboard the research vessel Hailey Rose. Several crewmen are found murdered, and the ship’s radio and engines are sabotaged. The pain from wounds Robert Sayles received in his escape from the sinking battleship return to haunt him. With a fierce South Pacific storm bearing down on them, the Hailey Rose’s survivors must find a way to repair their vessel and contend with a murderer in their midst. A murderer with direct ties to the night the last battleship was sunk.

Is it Robert? Or is it... something else? And can they survive...The Last Battleship?

HATTER'S CREEK RESCUE by Alan Cupp

When eleven-year-old JT set out on his bike one morning toward Mill House Road, all he anticipated was a thrilling ride down the steepest and longest piece of road in the county. The experience ranked high on JT’s list of favorite summer time activities. His only worry was keeping Mom from finding out about his trip down the seldom-traveled hill, miles from any populated area. However, things don’t always go as anticipated.

After a disappointing and painful encounter with a pothole, JT finds himself alone, battered, and miles from home with a broken bicycle. On his way home, JT stops at Hatter’s Creek Bridge to wash off some of the blood and dirt, hoping to mask the truth of his ill-fated journey. When he witnesses a car accident at the opposite end of the bridge, JT is plunged into the role of rescuer.

To save the car’s occupants, JT must face the dangerous current of Hatter’s Creek, fatigue, hunger, an ill-tempered dog, and his worst fear: a dirty diaper.

Fly high and die! Welcome to Camp Valentine - a cheerleading camp with raging spirit. A ghost that is! It’s ten years after Lexy Mills’ bizarre death, but the bloodthirsty pranks are still going down at a hypnotic pace. Urban legend says it’s Lexy seeking revenge, picking off cheerleaders one by one in a symphony of horrors. But is it? Tiki Tinklemeyer, an indentured servant to the geek label, is thrown into the middle of camp mayhem while perpetually plagued by her alter egos, Sally Self-Conscious and Natalie Negative Thoughts. Not only is she out of her element spending a week with the micro-miniskirt V.I.P.’s, but now someone wants to kill her. 1. Welcome Kimberly!

Had to ask you about your new release CHEERAGE FEARAGE - would you say it's a black comedy or more of a thriller?

    2. Cheerage is a bit campy but still scary! I've always loved funny horror movies so I imagined what I liked reading as a young adult, and the story just came to me. So to answer your question, BOTH! I have to add, however, that I wrote the book as a trilogy and each installment gets a bit darker...

  11. Hi everyone and good morning from the UK!

I'm Maria Ling and write straight-up romance in various subgenres. "A Family Affair" came about because I wanted to write regency-style romance about "the middling sort" (merchants and petty gentry).

Release day will be duly celebrated with a chocolate bar, then it's back to the work in progress (medieval romance).

    Thanks for having us here!

  12. Congrats on all the new releases. Is A Family Affair a stand alone book or part of a series?

  13. Sorry about the delay in replying!

A Family Affair is the first of three stories about the Dean family, and part of a planned cluster of stories set in Regency York.
