Celebrating Freya's Bower and Wild Child Publishing's February Releases

Today on our Cyber Launch Party Blog, we're celebrating February releases for Wild Child Publishing and Freya's Bower!

WARS OF THE HEART by Inari Gray

Someone has been tampering with Earth’s Ozone Shield, and judging from the malfunction locations, Intergalactic Diplomat Katherine Morgan is convinced it’s more than a mere technical glitch. Worried for the health and safety of her people, she petitions the Peace Keeping Intergalactic Council to conduct a full investigation and offer any kind of assistance Earth might need in the event of an ambush. Unfortunately, the only assistance they can offer is in the mercy of the impetuous King of Salatiel, a man whose heart Katherine stomped on more than ten years ago.

The terms of the arrangement? Force an alliance, get Ja-el Lamar to yield at the threat of losing his kingdom. She didn't take into account how treacherous it would be, faced with everything she thought she no longer cared about, everything she left behind.

Meanwhile, Ja-el has an agenda of his own. He hates the Peace Keeping Intergalactic Council and everything it stands for. He's never trusted those in power there and he certainly won't start now. Especially not when they're sending Katherine Morgan in his direction. A woman he vowed to never see again. Whom they all know has the power to destroy him.

  2. Thanks for having us, DeNita. Did you not receive information for the Dark Side of Purgatory too? (sigh)

  3. Thank you, DeNita. I'm excited to be here. I'll share some thoughts and other goodies.

My name is Faith. I love books, forests, winter, cats, fishes, computers and fairy tales. I live in the northwoods, don't get out much and have one foot in the otherworld. I grew up an avid reader of fantasy, science fiction and the esoteric. As for Wizards, Woods and Gods: Tales of Integration. I started writing these stories years ago. Many of them came out of novels I'd been working on and years of world-building before that. One or two of them went on to become chapters in future novels. I spend most of my time in these places.

I've also written a series of dark fantasy novels with the same flavor as these tales. The first one is called The Hunter's Rede. I also love oil painting and illustration. You can check out my art galleries on Imagekind.

I'll be putting out a series of blog posts on Goodreads that talk about the stories in Wizards, Woods and Gods, including short excerpts and illustrations. The first one is out now; it's called "The Spooky Forest, Part One: The Power of Creation."

Here's my website: ftmckinstry.com; and on Facebook: F.T. McKinstry.

    Cheers! Faith :)

  4. DeNita, thank you so much for hosting a release party!

Little known fact about Wars of the Heart, despite it's futuristic sci-fi setting, it was inspired by ancient Druids and Fae princes, particularly Karen Marie Moning's Dark Higlander and Immortal Highglander. I'd been reading her books religiously at the time and suddenly, my hero started talking to me. ;)

Anyone have any favorite alpha heroes?

  5. Ooh, I like the sounds of these! Congrats on the releases, everyone! Are they stand-alone titles, or part of a series?

And alpha heroes? Yummy :) A lot of those paranormal creatures also end up being quite alpha--maybe being part wolf or immortal does that to you? :)
